Southern Arizona Baseball All-Star Games

The Southern Arizona Baseball All-Star Games took place Tuesday night at the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson. There were two senior class games and two underclass games held on the fields that were once home to the spring training teams of the Diamondbacks and the White Sox.
Danny Preble (Salpointe), Kelly Johnson (Cienega), Tommy Fernandez (Buena), Kenny Doyle (Cholla), Sam Gelardi (Sahuarita), OJ Favela (Nogales), Tyler Teadt (Rio Rico) and James Milligan (Tombstone) served as the head coaches. In all, over 180 athletes took part in the open batting and substitution games.

Cienega head baseball coach Kelly Johnson is stepping down but will remain at the school to be the boys golf coach. Johnson has coached the successful Bobcat baseball program over the last couple of decades, including as the head coach since 2017. One of the good guys. pic.twitter.com/TppkCtwKC5
