2025 PURE INSURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP

Sept. 19-21: Pebble Beach

 

First Tee Tucson: Marana senior Riley Stidham, Cienega senior Kason Shotwell, sophomore Kallum De Guia, and Mica Mountain senior brothers Hunter and Jake Chen.

De Guia shot a 15-under-par 201 (68-67-66) to tie for third place at the PURE Insurance Championship First Tee Boys division. Playing on the Pebble Beach Golf Links, De Guia shot 6-under on Sunday to jump fine spots on the final day. Holy Ghost Prep (Bensalem, PA) senior Jake Smaron won the championship with a 16-under 200.

Jake Chen (67-70) missed the cut by one stroke. Stidham (71-70), Shotwell (72-71) and Hunter Chen (73-72) also missed the cut after two rounds.

First Tee Phoenix: Desert Mountain junior Mason Danninger, Desert Mountain senior Caroline Hoang, Casteel senior Malakai Jazayeri and Litchfield Park youth Ashley Shaw.

Hoang shot a 12-under 204 (65-65-74) to take seventh place on the girl’s side and Shaw shot a 9-under 207 (65-70-72). Danninger (67-71) and Jazayeri (72-70) did not make the cut for Sunday.
