Yuma native Culp named to Pro Football Hall of Fame

Yuma native Curley Culp will join the only other Arizona high school product, Avondale native Randall McDaniel, in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Culp was selected for the honor on Saturday as a senior nominee.

The former nose tackle played 14 professional seasons, played in six Pro Bowls and won a Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs in 1970.

Culp also starred at Arizona State, where he was an All-America and won a national title in wrestling. Culp currently resides in Austin, Texas, according to an Associated Press story.
