Bianco and Treiber Selected as MaxPreps/NFCA National H.S. Players of the Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – For their outstanding efforts during games occurring over June 3-9, Aubrey Bianco of Marlboro Central (Marlboro, N.Y.) High School and Erica Treiber of Unionville-Sebewaing (Sebewaing, Mich.) High School have been selected as the MaxPreps/NFCA National High School Players of the Week.

EAST REGION: A junior pitcher/first baseman for the Dukes, Bianco batted .500 (6-for-12) with five runs scored, a pair of doubles and nine RBIs, while also picking up three wins from the circle with 13 strikeouts over 28 innings of effort. Among her top performances were posting two hits and three RBIs during victories over both Valhalla (N.Y.) and Babylon (N.Y.). For the season, she's hitting at a .372 clip with 29 RBIs and is 14-2 overall with 90 K's in 112 frames.

NORTH REGION: A sophomore pitcher/first baseman for the Patriots, Treiber was 2-0 from the circle with a 0.00 ERA and 18 strikeouts over 10 innings, while batting .333 (2-for-6) with two runs scored and two RBIs. She struck out 10 during a 13-0, one-hit blanking of Ithaca (Mich.) and eight in a 13-0 rout of St. Charles (Mich.). For the year, Treiber is 19-2 with a 0.45 ERA and 178 K's over 109 frames, while batting .420 with 24 RBIs.

To nominate a player for the award, the coach must enter his or her athlete's game stats into MaxPreps.com by Sunday evening to be eligible for that week's award.

The MaxPreps/NFCA High School Players of the Week will be announced on NFCA.org every Monday during the spring season, with one representative chosen from each of five separate high school regions. During the fall campaign, just a single player will be selected representing all participating regions.
