DURHAM, N.C. -- USA Baseball and MaxPreps announced on Monday, the MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week Award winners for the week of June 2, 2015, bringing national recognition to the top-performing high school athletes in the country.

Representing eight national regions, -- Great Lakes, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, Southwest and West -- players are selected based upon stats that are submitted to MaxPreps by coaches and team administrators. For players to be nominated each week, their coach must enter the athlete's game stats into MaxPreps by Sunday evening. High school coaches may obtain an access code to enter stats for their teams at maxpreps.com/cl.

The winners for MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week Award are as follows:

Great Lakes
Chase Jones, a senior at Terre Haute North Vigo (Terre Haute, Ind.) High School, went 6-for-7 (.857) at the plate with 11 RBIs and three home runs to earn the Great Lakes MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week. Jones crossed the plate four times while slugging 2.142 and averaging an on-base percentage of .750 for the week.

Mid-Atlantic
Collin Liberatore, a senior at Greensburg Central Catholic (Greensburg, Pa.) High School, notched 14 strikeouts in eight innings of play to earn the Mid-Atlantic MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week honor. Liberatore allowed zero runs, two hits, and zero walks for the week.

Midwest
Brogan Heinen, a senior at Hayden (Topeka, Kan.) High School, was 4-for-6 with three runs scored, one double, and four RBIs to earn Midwest MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week. Heinen also drew one walk for a slash line of .667/.714/.883 for the week.

Northeast
Tim Stordy, a senior from Oxford (Oxford, Conn.) High School, posted a .714 batting average to earn Northeast MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week. Stordy was 5-for-7 with five RBIs and three runs scored. His two walks, two doubles and one home run led to a .778 on-base percentage and a 1.428 slugging percentage.

Southwest
Jared Reagan, a senior from Booker (Booker, Texas) High School, twirled seven innings of shutout baseball to earn Southwest MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week honors. Reagan earned two wins on the week, striking out eight and issuing just three walks.

West
Thomas Triantos, a senior from Livermore (Livermore, Calif.) High School, struck out 17 over 10 innings to earn West MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week honors. Triantos allowed just five hits, three walks and zero runs while earning the victory for his team.
