Sunnyside High School standout Jesse Ybarra beat Caleb Rathjen of Iowa (4-2) to win the 120-pound division at the Cadet Junior Freestyle Nationals taking place in Fargo, North Dakota. 128 wrestlers took part in the division and Ybarra went 7-0 with victories over wrestlers from Oregon, Virginia, Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Iowa.

Ybarra won the AIA Division I state champion in the 113-pound division last year as a sophomore and the 106-pound division as a freshman.

Chandler standout Nathaniel Deasey beat Chris Island of California to win the 220-pound division. Deasey went 5-0 at nationals. Deasey went 1-2 as a freshman in the D-I 220-pound division.
