Coronado pushed Falcon Hill to the limit in a 3A Metro East conference battle. Small ball came up huge for the Dons, but it was not enough to sneak past the Falcon Hill Falcons in a 7-4 loss.

The sweet-swinging American Leadership Academy Patriots put together 20 hits in a 21-6 rout of the Coronado Dons. Ethan Lindauer, Tyler Miccolis, and Tyler Cluff each had three-hit games for the Patriots in Tuesday night’s non-conference game that was shortened to five innings due to run rule.

Coronado High was once an established baseball powerhouse in Arizona, but in recent years the Dons have faced some adversity.
